I can see the point in that, we also read a lot in our youth but now it’s information overload from all sides. I have to say, Stephen King in this interview for sure, he looks like the lead actor in the Canadian TV show DiVinci’s Inquest (title??)
To all those who think “to my brother David and I” is correct:
1)Google “I or me grammar”.
2)Click the result at AskOxford;com -it should be near the top.
3)Read it and weep!
Enough garbage talk. King makes an excellent point. Reading to your kids from the minute they are born is so important. I did with my daughter, and she is now also an “addict.” At 12, she read “Gone With the Wind” out loud to me over the course of several weeks. Last summer, it was “Jane Eyre,” replete with regional dialects. There is no TV or computer or video games in her room. She gets almost straight As, and her only big-ticket item is her iPod. She has no cell phone, either.
after he got out of hospital, the rumours of him buying the car that ran him over and then taking an axe to it aren’t true, although he said he wanted to at one stage.
the man’s a legend.
He’s just awesome.
@gringodeltoro1: And when you’re down here, YOU’LL FLOAT TOO!
Christine, by any chance?! haha

I have a life, my good sir. Get an education
you’re
yes. funny. get a life.
LMAO! “Your the idiot”
Yes, but only “to” is right.
No your the idiot, but I’m a jerk for saying that it was wrong. It has been argued that you can use both “to” and “too” in the sentence.
You are an idiot, MiniM2012.
It would be “to my brother, David, and me.” But speaking and writing are two different things and it doesn’t matter.
I am suprised his kids ever got any sleep after Stephen telling his kids a story.
To be a fly one the wall in that household…
what do you think about the stand
Hmm. I’ll think about it but I probably won’t start ’til, “Under the Dome” I’m getting the collector’s , signed copy edition. Can’t wait.
Yeah, it starts a little slow, but it pays off.
