the old guy Digger was not the guy that played Jud Crandle in Pet Semetary. I thought the guy that played Crandle played Herman Munster in the 60’s (or 50’s) TV show & also played Michael Douglas’ attorney boss in the film Fatal Attraction (1987).

maybe to show the director can be diffrent, so at least to show the film wasnt exactly the same as stephen king had written it, (every director has to leave a mark)and this is also proberly becasue they had to cut down the length of the film, and this was one way on doing this.. many adaptations of books in to films are dramaticlly cut down, if it was for word for word then it oculd be to long and rather boring, they want to stay captivating their audience

i luv the guy who plays the sheriff…he usually plays a bad guy..he’s a great actor!
